Computer hyperlink question?

I was talking to my friend on AIM and he made this thing look like a youtube link so it was like Youtube.com//watch.&%^$%^&WQ^% and stuff like that, but when you clicked on it it changed to your away status and typed something that he chose it to say, like he said "Trey is my best friend" and that was then set as my away status just from clicking on the link, so yeah. I really need to do that
