HELP! Trying to find a mystery fruit?

I went on holiday to Tenerife last year and ate on most days a fruit from the hotel which to date I still don't know what it was, I will now try and explain it to you: Orange in colour, round like an nectarine, no need to peel, has no pips or stones, tastes Little like fig. Does anyone have any idea what it is?
