Exchanging currency at the airport?

There is both an ICE currency exchange service and a branch of the Royal Bank of Canada in the Vancouver airport. ICE has locations in the international terminal. However, airport currency exchange services are notorious for giving really bad exchange rates. They're convenient, but they're not the best value for your money.
