I don't know what to do?

I'm in grade 8 and there is this guy I've liked since grade 6. He liked me for a bit in grade 7 but he doesn't anymore but I still like him. He knows that I like him. Hes really funny and nice to me and I can't not like him. Hes not in my cl but we are both on athletic council at school so almost everyday at recess we are inside at recess together with a bunch of other people. He's not super popular or anything but he's sort of friends with the more popular boys. I'm not really popular either, sort of the same as me. How do I get him to like me? I'm sort of a tomboy (not extremely but I'm not girly and I don't wear makeup or anything).
