If god knows all that was, is and will be, then how does free will exist?

Basically if god knows what I'm going to do and furthermore what everyone is going to do and how the future will play out, then how does anyone have any free choice. How does anyone have any free will period regardless of god, when all the choices we make in life are a response to prior conditioning. And if such is the case how are we to be responsible for our actions, when the determining factor behind them is response to prior conditioning. It would seem as if when we fail we are actually being punished for improper conditioning throughout our development.
