CARLOS KLEIBER: your essment/opinion/critique?

I can't compare him to Toscanini, since I never heard Toscanini live and his recordings are not of the same technical quality as Carlos Kleiber but not only is recording of Beethoven's 5 and 7 my favorite recordings of all time I think many people agree with me. All three times I saw Kleiber conduct in person - Der Rosenkavalier, Otello and La Boh�me - he gave the most memorable performances of my lifetime. I also think that its cool that his father Erich led the world premiere of Wozzeck.
