Can I use my own adaptation of the Aquarius (astrology) symbol in a logo and register it as a trademark?

I would like to use it as a company logo. Of course it would be different to the originals as it would be my own adaptation of it. The company is going to be a non for profit social enterprise selling religous items.Any help would be appreciated
